About the role:

Primary Responsibilities:

Leadership of the CCI Market within an office, responsible for developing and leading high performance teams focused on the implementation of the Business Plan. Contribute to the success of the firm as a whole including the areas of business development and client engagement, client and team leadership, mentoring of the firm’s team, advancing the quality of work, integrating their range of design services, managing their process and solid financial performance. You will balance your time in four key areas:

  • Establishing CCI’s brand in an established or emerging city for the firm via an existing network, client base, professional and community reputation and involvement.
  • Developing new business opportunities with new and current client partners to achieve marketing targets, which supports a minimum 10% growth of the practice year over year.
  • Leading, engaging and partnering with clients on billable project specific work. This fosters strong client relationships and presents opportunities for future work.
  • Engaging in practice support activities to advance the firm, the office and CCI Market. Responsibilities include expanding the practice by working with and mentoring their current team members and recruiting talented candidates to be part of a high performance team.

Areas of Focus 

  • Practice Leadership: Responsible for the leadership and growth of the CCI Market. Must be a self-starter, an entrepreneurial person with the ability to collaborate effectively with others across the full range of services provided by the firm. Driven by the opportunity to create and execute a high performance CCI practice.
  • Top Line Development: Work with Client Leaders and the Executive Director Corporate Commercial to focus on growing the top line of the market and the firm. Champion strategic client development and strategic initiatives into the client engagement process. You will seek to differentiate the firm in the marketplace, promote the full range of their integrated design services, supporting the advancement of their Vision and Purpose in all phases of client engagement.
  • Client skills: Proactive development and long-term collaborative leadership of clients in the CCI market.
  • Vision and Innovation: High level of knowledge of CCI environments. A CCI Client Leader with knowledge of “Best Practices”, Evidenced Based and Research based design.
  • Strategy and Planning: Understanding of the business, operations and processes of CCI client needs and resulting market solutions, and the ability to develop a comprehensive team of experts and thought leaders within the firm focused on creative, state of the art solutions.
  • Bottom Line Growth: Work with the Office Practice Leader, Business Practice Leaders and Client Leaders to ensure that the business plan bottom line initiatives are successfully implemented. Achieve a minimum of 10% firm profitability level for the market each year.
  • Staff Development: Assess, mentor and coach staff to develop future leaders. You will take ownership for the growth of the staff. Mentoring and growing emerging professionals is an important responsibility for all leaders at the firm. You will assist in establishing an environment that encourages leadership, integrity, humility, respect and responsibility, along with collaboration, experimentation, innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
  • Professional and Community Organization Involvement: Nurture, grow and expand relationships in the community. Participate in both local professional and community organizations that increase visibility of the firm and expand the firm’s brand recognition. Be proactive in your efforts to promote the visibility, profile and reputation of the firm and the office.
