Attract (And Keep) Employees
A little while back, I wrote a post about how to attract top talent. Well, after reading an article on ere.net, I have found that I am not the only one who is thinking of ways to be innovative ways to attract (and keep) employees.
The article is a couple of years old, but I found it incredibly interesting and I think many of the ideas can still be used today.
Anyway, according to the article, companies are incorporating a lot of things into the workplace that are helping to attract great talent. Here are a few examples:
- Drinking on the job
- Throwing out resumes altogether (and watching them work instead).
Some of the stuff sounds really off the wall, but it’s incredibly creative and I can see how it would attract a candidate. I also think that stuff like this speaks volumes about the ambition of a company. If you’re willing to go the extra mile to attract a candidate, just imagine what you would do to keep them.
I am not saying that any companies need to run out and try any of these exact methods; every company has their own methods of finding and hiring employees. But, I do think it’s worth noting because it’s always good to know what you’re up against.
Be creative. Be bold. Do what you can to attract the talent you want.
