About the role:

Due to continued growth and success, the firm is seeking a talented Senior Project Architect/Designer with strong design skills to join their team. The successful candidate will be a member of a project team involved with challenging urban mixed-use, multifamily, commercial and institutional projects in the Mid-Atlantic region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is proficient from both a design and technical standpoint, and enjoys working with a highly creative, collaborative team dedicated to innovative problem solving and design excellence.

Requisite skills are strong design, planning, and problem-solving capabilities; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and proficiency in Revit, Sketch-Up, Autodesk, as well as Microsoft Office and Adobe products. Licensed architects are preferred. Successful candidates will be self- starting, flexible, have experience collaborating with principals, mentoring others, and working on multiple projects for nationally known, and strong and entrepreneurial local clients.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of or Masters in Architecture from an NAAB accredited
  • Minimum of 10 – 20+ years of experience as an architect/designer on built
  • Demonstrates mastery of AutoCAD, Sketch-up and Adobe CSS programs, with working knowledge and experience with Revit.
  • Registered Architect.
  • LEED and or WELL accreditation is preferred

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provides overall leadership for multiple and complicated residential, mixed-use and commercial
  • Evaluates design requirements; prepare and/or leads site and building
  • Explores innovative design concepts and
  • Prepares and/or leads preparation of design drawings, models and other design tools, and assists in presentations both internally and externally to clients, building and community officials, and the
  • Participates with project team to generate project documents including plans, sections, details, and project manual in coordination of a complete construction document package.
  • Collaborates with other lead professionals to ensure design and documentation are in accordance with project
  • Participates in developing and facilitating project
  • Is a major contributor during client meetings and presentations, providing project leadership and
  • Participates as a leader overseeing the design work of others, promoting integrated and cohesive
  • Develops, originates, and presents design solutions to client representatives and/or design review committees.
  • Mentors and trains junior
  • Maintains and develops relationships with existing clients and cultivates new client relationships.
  • Participates in marketing and business development
  • Contributes to the spirit and vibrancy of the studio
