Thanks for the Memories!

thanks for the memories

A trite statement but meant with sincerity and love.  It is bitter and sweet after starting this firm 35 years ago, I have decided it’s time for another journey.  Doing something you love and getting paid for it, is a dream.  I can truly say that I lived that dream.

My life at Gaines has been like running a marathon.  For those of you who know me well, one of my favorite sayings is, “OMG, my hair is on fire!”  Moreover, it has been on fire for all this time while completing this run.  It was not a sprint but a long journey that had ups and downs (hills and flat roads).   All with the goal in mind, to build a great firm with a purpose.  That purpose is the fuel that helped me along the way to hit the 26.2-mile mark.  This all happened 1 ½ years ago when I decided that the end of the marathon should be imminent and our firm was acquired by Allen Austin.  The new leadership of Gaines International will be employees that have been with me along this journey for a long time and I feel very confident that with Allen Austin behind them that they will take the firm to its next level of growth.

I would like to thank all of the wonderful people that I have met , the incredible employees (current and past) that have joined me on this journey and last but not least the roster of fantastic clients who have helped me reach my purpose.

I would like to stay connected with each one of you, as I will always be part of this incredible firm.  My involvement with Gaines International | Allen Austin will be as Emeritus.

My new contact information for your convenience is:   Riverview Consultants, Inc. ( and my cell and LinkedIn will remain the same.

For business related questions please contact Joy Avery (, Vice President Operations.

Again, it was a GREAT RUN!  I am complete!

Warm regards,

Donna Gaines
